Down the Byline at Open Tryout?

If Mike signs up for the open tryout, he could be playing on that field next season.

Last year, Mike of Down the Byline came to the open tryout and rated some of the players he saw. Read his ratings and see Kevin Souter in that second picture he posted. At the time, Kuhn told me how he would likely have tried out, but his knee wouldn't allow it. Well folks, as many of you know, Mike is back at full strength. In chatting with him today, I suggested that he tryout this year. He claims to be open to the idea. If he does try out, I'm sure we could get some players to watch the trial and rate Mike's performance, as he so often rates their performances. You get to decide. Should Mike tryout and let the Wizards players rate him? Make the call in the top-right corner.

    C'mon Mike

  3. Respectfully Mike if you do it, do it for the dream of just getting to do it. Otherwise it's a throwaway of $205 and maybe a blog article or three. If guys like the Nekuda's & the Kem Thomas' of the area can't make a dent, then it's really slim pickins. The local young talent from Park and Rockhurst would even be very tough to beat out as well. All for a $12,900 salary? Would the wife even allow that?

Dream it, just be very realistic about any sort of real chance to get past day two. More power to ya if you do, I will be your biggest fan and the first in line to buy your jersey if it happens.

    :-) for thinking big.
