U.S. Soccer announced yesterday that the upcoming matchup between the U.S. and Mexico on Feb. 11 will be played at Columbus Crew Stadium. Mexico, who generally struggles in cold-weather venues, is 0-2 all-time at Crew Stadium. Columbus doesn't have one of the larger Latino populations of the available venues, so that also makes sense for the USA.
What are your thoughts on this venue? Are you pumped? Are you going (I know Sam Pierron is trying to organize a trip. If you're close with him, let him know your interest level.)? How much are you looking forward to the hex? Which Wizards players would you like to see as part of the U.S. squad during qualifying? Let us know in the comments section.

The Columbus Crew Stadium as the cold weather venue along with cool AC (Adam Cristman) sounds like a fantastic idea. Merry Christmas, Adam Cristman and the Kansas City Wizards.
