Open Tryouts are Back

Just ask Kevin Souter and Nelson Pizarro, open tryouts work. Last season, each player showed enough while competing against over 200 other hopefuls that the Wizards eventually signed them to contracts. Souter eventually emerged as a starter down the stretch, playing in the Wizards final six matches, including our two MLS Cup Playoff bouts with eventual-champions Columbus.
